Multilayer pipe is also called PAP pipe. It is a pipe with a five-layer structure. Its inner and outer layers are made of polyethylene and its middle layer is made of welded aluminum pipe. The other two layers between the aluminum layer and the polyethylene layers are powerful adhesive layers used to bond them together tightly.

This pipe is composed of inner and outer layers of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), two adhesive layers, and a lap-welded aluminum layer. Its operating pressure can reach up to 1.25Mpa and long-term operating temperature up to 40℃. With these good properties, it is an ideal option for cold water supply.

RIFENG PERT-AL-PERT Pipe with a lap-welded aluminum layer features better flexible and hygienic performance. It can withstand maximum operating temperature up to 95℃ in an instant. Therefore, it is usually for use in hot and cold water supply.

With crosslinked polyethylene as raw materials, RIFENG PEX-AL-PEX Pipe is tougher and has better pressure resistance performance even at high temperatures. Also, its better resistance to corrosion and chlorine oxidation makes it more durable and has a longer service lifespan.

• Integrating the advantages of metal pipes and plastic pipes, PAP multilayer pipes have excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and aging resistance.
• With an inner layer of PEX/PERT and an aluminum layer in the middle, PAP multilayer pipes can isolate oxygen and light, inhibiting bacteria growth.
• They feature a low coefficient of thermal expansion. That means they are not easy to deform the wall or the ground after being buried.
• PAP multilayer pipes are lightweight and flexible enough to be bent and can stay in place after bending and forming. Hence, fewer fittings are needed in installation, lowering the pressure loss and risk of leakage.

The cost of PE-X pipes is relatively lower than the other two materials. They’re highly flexible but easy to rebound after bending.
