NSF/ANSI 61: The standard of multilayer plastic pipe for drinking water system

Feb. 02, 2021
NSF-61 is an internationally recognized standard for "Drinking Water System Components-Health Effects", concerning stringent requirements on materials and products used in contact with drinking water. It is developed by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), a global independent public health and environmental organization, and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) which oversees the consensus for developing standards for manufacturing and procedures in the United States.

This Standard establishes minimum health effects requirements for the chemical contaminants and impurities that are indirectly imparted to drinking water from products, components, and materials used in drinking water systems. Generally, products that follow this standard can reduce the impact on human health to a greater extent because the material is in contact with drinking water. Therefore, the standard is also recognized in many countries.

As one of the global piping system manufacturers, RIFENG has always put the safety and health of drinking water in a priority. RIFENG has got NSF/ANSI 61 certification in Multilayer Piping Systems, PEX Piping Systems, PPR Piping Systems, Braided Hoses, Valves, Manifolds, and Bathroom. Contributing to global drinking water safety. RIFNEG will guarantee the quality of its products as always.
