Rifeng Supports the Unemployed Group to Start a small Business

Jul. 30, 2020

Affected by the epidemic, the domestic economy was negatively affected and the unemployment rate rose correspondingly. In order to resume the domestic economy, new policy has been implemented by cities since June.

Cities around China started allowing people to set up roadside booths or food stalls on streets on a regular basis over the weekend. The vendors had been banned to keep the cities clean, and their return is expected to help increase people's incomes and revive local economies hit hard by the novel coronavirus outbreak.1 To a certain extent, easing bans and designating places for vendors help revive economies. Take the capital city of Sichuan province, Chengdu, as an example. Chengdu has designated more than 2,234 roadside business areas, 82 promotion areas on streets near large shopping malls and 17,891 vending spots, creating more than 100,000 jobs.2

While under this policy, many people still failed to engaging in. Because they lack of initial capital and tools. It is better to teach a man how to fish than just to give a man a fish. Therefore, Rifeng group sets up a CSR scheme, which is in the concept of “RIFENG CREATES THE FUTURE WITH YOU”. This scheme will provide mobile stalls, initial capital to the targeted unemployed group. For the elderly, especially for the mobility-impaired, rifeng group will also provide other material support to reduce their financial stress. This scheme started the end of July.
